Narrative:
Climbing out of dab off runway 25R; dab departure assigned a heading of 090 and to climb to 8;000 feet. We reached 8;000 feet; leveled; and TCAS showed a traffic conflict at our 2 o'clock position; 500 feet above us; about 5 miles (assuming VFR but dab departure did not mention) and approaching. There was additional traffic at our 3 o'clock and 1;000 feet above and also about 5 miles approaching. I believe dab was in contact with this 2nd aircraft.as the 2 o'clock traffic approached; TCAS commanded an RA climb to climb above a rate of 2;500 FPM; which I did and my copilot reported to ATC. We leveled at 8;800 feet as the RA advised; as the TCAS then picked up the IFR traffic 1;000 feet above that was now a conflict.it appears the problem was the VFR traffic at 500 feet between 2 IFR aircraft and TCAS initially wanted us to avoid the VFR traffic.
