Narrative:

Sic got clearance; then went inside to bathroom. I input the flight plan and read over points together with sic when he returned. Unknowingly; I misspelled the intersection jamie as 'jaime'; transposing the I and M. Controller gave us a left turn to jamie which was unusual; almost a 360 degree turn. This was to avoid weather. When we rolled out; he questioned our heading. That's when we discovered the misspelled intersection. We corrected; adjusted heading by approximately 50 degrees and continued the flight without additional event. Controller said that it was 'no problem;' but we; as a crew; decided to [report] this event just in case.usually the crew member that takes the clearance from ATC enters it into the FMS. Since; the duties were split because of a bathroom break; the normal flow of checking out route was interrupted. I believe this is where we missed the anomaly/misspelling.we will be more diligent in the future to double or triple check route specifics if duties become split up or possibly not split them in the first place. We got off our rhythm and missed this detail. We have checked every point and every distance of all clearances this tour; but got interrupted this time.
