Narrative:
Got ATC fault EICAS message in level cruise; FL350; 30 west of hve VOR. Then received a TCAS RA to descend. TCAS showed traffic at our altitude; directly in front of us. Co-pilot was the PF; disconnected autopilot; autothrottles; and descended to FL340. I advised denver center [of] TCAS RA. We leveled at FL340; we received a second RA; we did not comply. Denver center said there was no traffic near us. We climbed back to fl 350.
