Narrative:
While executing a 2-ship formation overhead pattern; I (lead) lined up on the left runway instead of the right runway that we were cleared to land on. I recognized my error on short final and went around; but I did not direct my wingman to go around and my wingman proceeded to land on the left runway. I continued back into the pattern and was cleared to land.passenger distractions in my cockpit contributed to my regaining visual of the incorrect runway after the break; and an unknown radio limitation between lead and wingman contributed to decreased situational awareness in both airplanes. I also failed to direct my wingman to the tower frequency; so the only communication he was hearing was from our inter flight frequency.
