Narrative:
On the LOC4 @ esn at around 800 feet; tower asked us to watch our altitude; we were at 800 feet MSL. We may have been full deflection at that point. We made immediate corrective measure to get back on course maintaining altitude before continuing descent to land to a full stop.

Title: C172 instructor pilot reported the Tower alerted them to a low altitude situation when they deviated from the localizer course on approach to ESN.
