Narrative:

Ind approach gave us dogleg to final; 190 knots; spaced close behind heavy airbus on visual approach 23L; slowing from 210 knots; at 205 knots pilot flying (PF) called for flaps 5; encountered wake turbulence; airspeed went up to approximately the flap 5 limit of 210 knots momentarily; possibly a couple of knots over. PF disconnected autopilot; and EICAS message and warning horn for autopilot disconnect. Continued approach without incident. Wrote up possible flap overspeed. Maintenance message said nothing was noted on post inspection.cause: selecting flaps close to operations limit combined with wake turbulence encounter. Suggestions: use speed brakes effectively.
