Narrative:
While on simulated engine failure practice at rhv; on base to final turn at approximately 1000 feet; we saw a white drone or quad copter. I took over controls; took evasive action; then allowed the student to continue the landing. ATC was notified immediately and a warning was given to all pilots in the pattern.
