Narrative:
While on training flight with a student, observed a low wing aircraft it passed us on the left heading northeast. At the time I was nebnd in the practice area with radar services provided by standiford departure. I had requested altitudes between 4500' and 2500' for maneuvering. The low wing turned and began closing distance and altered course to parallel mine. The low wing approached from the left. We made heading changes to the right and the low wing matched the course corrections. The closest point was 1/2 mi with the low wing slightly low. We climbed and altered heading to the right. After clearing the area at 5000', we returned to training maneuvers. While recovering from maneuvering at 4500', low wing was straight and level also at 4500' at 10 O'clock position inbound toward us. Low wing turned to parallel us and continued closing distance to us. We called departure to establish if they were talking to other aircraft. They were not. We altered course to the right and low wing matched corrections and closed to within estimated 50-100'. We excuted climbing right turn, cleared the area and requested return to lou.

Narrative: WHILE ON TRNING FLT WITH A STUDENT, OBSERVED A LOW WING ACFT IT PASSED US ON THE L HDG NE. AT THE TIME I WAS NEBND IN THE PRACTICE AREA WITH RADAR SVCS PROVIDED BY STANDIFORD DEP. I HAD REQUESTED ALTS BTWN 4500' AND 2500' FOR MANEUVERING. THE LOW WING TURNED AND BEGAN CLOSING DISTANCE AND ALTERED COURSE TO PARALLEL MINE. THE LOW WING APCHED FROM THE L. WE MADE HDG CHANGES TO THE R AND THE LOW WING MATCHED THE COURSE CORRECTIONS. THE CLOSEST POINT WAS 1/2 MI WITH THE LOW WING SLIGHTLY LOW. WE CLBED AND ALTERED HDG TO THE R. AFTER CLRING THE AREA AT 5000', WE RETURNED TO TRNING MANEUVERS. WHILE RECOVERING FROM MANEUVERING AT 4500', LOW WING WAS STRAIGHT AND LEVEL ALSO AT 4500' AT 10 O'CLOCK POS INBND TOWARD US. LOW WING TURNED TO PARALLEL US AND CONTINUED CLOSING DISTANCE TO US. WE CALLED DEP TO ESTABLISH IF THEY WERE TALKING TO OTHER ACFT. THEY WERE NOT. WE ALTERED COURSE TO THE R AND LOW WING MATCHED CORRECTIONS AND CLOSED TO WITHIN ESTIMATED 50-100'. WE EXCUTED CLBING R TURN, CLRED THE AREA AND REQUESTED RETURN TO LOU.
