Narrative:

We landed on 13L and taxied to the ramp with no issues. I pulled up to [the] gate and noticed the ramp crew was not there yet. There were two taxi lanes into [the] gate; one dashed and one solid. I lined the airplane up on the dashed line. For no specific reason; I just picked a line. I was making a PA to the passengers saying we stopped short of the gate when the ramp crew made their way into position. I counted three ramp agents; one lined up on the dashed line in front of me and one on each wing. All three appeared to be giving the 'all clear' signal. I checked my side of the gate area and it appeared all vehicles/obstacles were out of my way and behind the red lined area (clear zone). As we taxied into the gate; I thought to myself that the trucks on my left appeared a bit close and slowed down; but the forward marshaller kept telling me to move forward; so I did. Not much longer after that; I felt a slight bump and knew immediately that I hit something and looked out and saw the wing of the aircraft next to mine moving. I stopped the airplane and set the parking brake. The marshaller was still trying to get me to move forward until I pointed toward the left of the aircraft to signal we hit something. The airplane was then shut down and eventually the gate agent parked the jet bridge to allow passengers to get off.
