Narrative:
Aircraft X had MEL 27-22-xx rudder trim sys 2 applied. This requires operations procedures - test '2' to be completed. During this test while following directions you hold the rudder trim full left and reset; then hold full right and it instructs you to push in the FAC2 and the test is complete; it omits the reset step after full right trim. I called maintenance control and asked them about it and after much confusion on their part she finally understood what was missing and instructed me to push the reset. Test 1 for a sys 1 does instruct the reset to be pushed after full left and right. Test 2 is missing vital written language the leaves the aircraft in an unsafe condition for pushback. Maintenance manuals need to be accurate and complete for safety of our flight crews and passengers.
