Narrative:
We received a call from flight attendant B stating the brake on the galley cart failed and the cart had fallen on her. She stated she was sore but ok and did not need medical assistance. We told her to stay seated and then checked on her periodically. Then we contacted dispatch via ACARS and as soon as we landed he patched me into the chief pilot and flight attendant manager. I notified the next crew about the cart and placed an inoperative sticker on the cart. I drove the flight attendant to the urgent care who forwarded her to the emergency room then drove her back to the hotel. I also inspected the cart and the brake feels like it locks but it really doesn't.
