Narrative:

On the nncee 1 arrival ATC changed our runway and approach from ILS 8R to RNAV (rnp) Y runway 9. I selected this approach in the FMC and selected howln transition. I looked at my map screen and saw it all there. I sat there and watch the plane not make the turn at and went to heading select to follow the magenta line. I did this within a second or two as I was just watching the map mode. As I was in the turn ATC said you appear to be slightly off course; you are cleared for the visual runway 9. We did the visual.
