Narrative:
Takeoff runway 25R phx closely behind [an] A321. Waited for the A321's rotation before starting my takeoff roll. On initial climb at about 200 ft AGL started getting into severe wake turbulence. The turbulence felt like a punch with a sharp left roll. After about 5 shots asked departure for a 10 degree left turn off the zeper 1. Cause: insufficient separation between departing aircraft. Suggestions: more spacing between departing aircraft.
