Narrative:
I was given clearance to push the aircraft tail east. I was not advised of any traffic that I need to give way to. I began pushing the aircraft and had to slam on the brakes because an [aircraft] turned on the taxiway directly behind our moving aircraft. I asked the captain if ramp control had advised him of any traffic that we were supposed to hold for and he replied no.
