Narrative:
Flying normal black 1 route in gcn sfar, encountered moderate/severe turbulence and changed from normal black 1A route to black 1 at split west/south intersection, because felt turbulence would be significantly less on black 1. Since it had been a long time since I had flown this route, it was difficult to stay on track and I might have gotten into flight free area briefly. Suggest frequent training on lesser used rtes.
