Narrative:
On descent into clt; while in speed mode set for 235 knots at a descent rate of 1000 ft per minute; there was an instant raise in airspeed to 251 knots for 1 second. The high speed; red chime came on. The airspeed immediately returned to normal. The aircraft was written up for inspection. Possible wake turbulence encounter. Corrected immediately. No proper amount of time to avoid and detect due to instant nature of speed increase.
