Narrative:
We were sebnd at 9000'. A company small transport same type as us climbing through 9000 for 9500' (on top clearance) came within about 200' of us on our right side (same direction, course slightly converging). First officer took yoke (as aircraft popped up from below on his side), turned rapidly 30-40 degrees left and descended 50-100' to avoid. No advisory was given by the controller until the evasive maneuver had begun.
