Management email sent to maintenance controllers instructing us to not follow company gmm [general maintenance manual] procedures; but to follow their email instructions instead.I am not allowed to ask a pilot to do anything that is not in their afm; no matter what source; be it the MM; fcom; or systems manufacturer's manuals. How can you tell me I have to follow an email instead of the company gmm.stop leading and directing by email. Either publish the directions/processes correctly; or stop the use of that process until it is corrected and published in the proper source document.
