Narrative:
In cruise flight at FL390; the right pack failed. While complying with the QRH procedure for this abnormal condition; the aural master warning sounded for high cabin altitude; with accompanying master warning lights. Cabin altitude was not controllable. We initiated a descent to 10000 feet. We ascertained from the flight attendants that all passengers and crew were ok; and landed uneventfully. Excellent job by first officer (first officer) and the entire cabin crew.
