Narrative:
During climb power settings from FL270-FL300 we encountered severe turbulence. Power was immediately reduced to idle power while continuing to climb as well as slowing the aircraft to 250 knots indicated. This encounter occurred in clear air turbulence. The airplane was evaluated by crew to be safe to continue to the destination as a result of no trim required to maintain straight and level flight and there were no warning messages or faults indicating we hurt the airplane. The autopilot was disengaged momentarily by crew during the event. The owners were checked on shortly after level off at a safe altitude and they appeared unshaken. Normal landing was executed by first officer.
