Narrative:

With crosswinds approaching 33 knots; approach was stable until approximately 10 feet prior to touchdown. Pilot monitoring called out excessive airspeed at which point I disconnected the auto throttles to control speed. Touchdown occurred outside touchdown zone. I believe we were in the effects of the wake of a preceding 777 which had just touched down upwind of our runway. In addition to the gusts. The rollout and turnoff were normal. Touching down outside the touchdown zone for our height above the runway was a safer course of action than a go-around.
