Narrative:
Upon landing at mht the nose wheel tire went flat, and I was unable to clear the active runway. The control tower was in operation, and the tower controller closed the runway and called for assistance to tow the aircraft off the runway. Several days later I was advised by another pilot that I should have declared an emergency, since I could not clear the active runway. However, at the time it didn't seem like an emergency because the tower controller was able to divert traffic to another runway.
