Narrative:
After landing at ord, ground control instructed us after clearing runway 13R to taxi via parallel T-1 outer to the ramp. While taxiing down the outer just prior to C8, ground control advised us he wasn't talking to the aircraft to our right. We saw this aircraft and slowed slightly, at which point he turned on C8 and taxied directly in front of us. I hit the brakes, coming to a complete stop, and the large transport Y's left wing tip missed us by 10'. After taxiing back to the ramp I called tower supervisor to let him know what happened and he told me that the only company Y aircraft at that time was company Y flight XXX. No damage was done to our aircraft or passenger. This close call occurred probably because company Y was taxiing too fast and wasn't talking to ground control.

Title: TAXI INCIDENT AT ORD. REPORTER HAD TO USE STOP QUICKLY TO PREVENT HITTING ANOTHER ACFT CROSSING FROM THE RIGHT AND NOT TALKING TO ATCT GND CTL.
Narrative: AFTER LNDG AT ORD, GND CTL INSTRUCTED US AFTER CLRING RWY 13R TO TAXI VIA PARALLEL T-1 OUTER TO THE RAMP. WHILE TAXIING DOWN THE OUTER JUST PRIOR TO C8, GND CTL ADVISED US HE WASN'T TALKING TO THE ACFT TO OUR RIGHT. WE SAW THIS ACFT AND SLOWED SLIGHTLY, AT WHICH POINT HE TURNED ON C8 AND TAXIED DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF US. I HIT THE BRAKES, COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP, AND THE LGT Y'S LEFT WING TIP MISSED US BY 10'. AFTER TAXIING BACK TO THE RAMP I CALLED TWR SUPVR TO LET HIM KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AND HE TOLD ME THAT THE ONLY COMPANY Y ACFT AT THAT TIME WAS COMPANY Y FLT XXX. NO DAMAGE WAS DONE TO OUR ACFT OR PAX. THIS CLOSE CALL OCCURRED PROBABLY BECAUSE COMPANY Y WAS TAXIING TOO FAST AND WASN'T TALKING TO GND CTL.
