Narrative:
While shooting the visual xx at ZZZ; we received an obstacle alert from the GPWS. We then corrected for the high descent rate and shallow turn and the GPWS warning stopped. GPWS warning of obstacle. While shooting the visual xx at ZZZ; we received a GPWS warning due to the high rise buildings that are located at about 3 DME. I attribute this to a high descent rate and delayed turn to continue to follow the river. The FMS was properly programmed with a .3 final. Although briefed that we had to stay over the river the other pilot had not flown the river visual before and was somewhat hesitant to turn. The GPWS gave us a warning of obstacle at which point we decreased descent rate and banked more [to] the left. We were about 1;000 feet at the time of the descent rate. Shallowed descent rate and began turn to the left.
