Narrative:
After crossing the FAF on the [runway] xxl approach into ZZZ in turbulent IMC conditions; scan was being done by both pilots on board to make sure the course wasn't blown through the localizer. Both pilots failed to scan the glideslope and blew through the glideslope indicating to tower a low altitude alert. Both pilots quickly recovered and got back on glide path and finally popped out of IMC conditions about 700 feet AGL and landed safely.
