Narrative:
At approximately 85-90 knots during the takeoff roll; I; pilot monitoring; observed a large owl fly beneath the nose and right side of the aircraft; then heard a loud thump. I called 'bird strike' and the captain initiated the rejected takeoff procedures. We accomplished the rejected takeoff qrc (quick reference checklist) actions and exited the runway and returned to the gate. 4-5 fan blades in the number 2 engine were bent and the aircraft was removed from service.
