Narrative:
When I was assigned to the slide shop I installed o-rings from the goodrich parts cabinet that have been determined to have the wrong effectivity. I also installed yellow electrical tape supplied by company on air cruiser slides as instructed. This tape was also found to have the incorrect effectivity.buyers or whoever purchases parts for components should check effectivity for components they are to be used on; and alert supervisors and mechanics when manufacturer makes changes or upgrades to parts.

Title: B737 Maintenance Technician reported that incorrect parts were installed on passenger emergency exit slide packs.
