Encountered GPWS (ground proximity warning system) warning while on approach into roa which resulted in go around. GPWS warning and voice saying too low terrain. Possible close proximity to terrain. Added power and leveled pitch which resulted in getting above the approach path in VMC conditions and resulted in go around. On the visual approach into roa using 24 ask if winds allow use runway 34 or the terrain mapping feature up.
