Still don't like that the filed route is printed on the pre departure clearance. If only the cleared plan was printed it would prevent many errors. If tower cleared [us] for takeoff with a via or first fix; it would have clued us in.

Title: A321 Captain reported a track deviation occurred when the crew failed to notice a routing change in the PDC. Reporter stated it would help if the PDC displayed only the cleared route and not the filed route.
Narrative: Still don't like that the filed route is printed on the PDC. If only the cleared plan was printed it would prevent many errors. If Tower cleared [us] for takeoff with a via or first fix; it would have clued us in.
