Narrative:
We operated flight XXX FM ZZZ to ZZZZ. I was international relief officer during this flight. We taxied out and departed with no abnormality. Flight conditions at time of departure was IMC with heavy precipitation in some quadrants. Sometime after 4;000 ft; there was a flash of light and a loud noise outside; similar to that of lightning. Captain was flying and first officer was non-flying pilot at this point. Immediately following we received two messages on ecias '(l) primary fwd window heat inop and primary (r) side window inop'. We continued to climb and the first officer completed the checklist for the window heat l/r at which time I was delegated the task to contact dispatch and maintenance control. I also contact the lead flight attendant to make sure the crew and passengers were ok and no further incident in the man cabin was reported. They remained seated. Once on the phone with maintenance control I noted to him the message we received on the ecias and he stated that he was aware and could see all the items that were listed. He was aware that this flight was international; operating to ZZZZ and ETOPS. The captain at that time noted that he was going to continue the conversation with maintenance. Maintenance control and the captain agreed to continue the flight to ZZZZ following company procedures. No further messages at that time occurred. We landed in ZZZZ and completed the parking; terminating checklists and debrief at the gate.
