Narrative:
Climbing south of red bluff with setting sun at my 1 O'clock. First saw other aircraft as it crossed my nose in a steep left turn, passing from my right to left. Although I was scanning, I never saw him, as he was, I assume, directly up-sun from me. It was an small aircraft, I think, silver. Center controller, when advised, said he saw nothing on scope, and this was verified in a later conversation with center area manager.
