Narrative:
On J-86 en route from srq-iah at assigned FL350, center told us to descend immediately to FL310. Then he told the other aircraft to turn to a heading immediately. Center said it was their mistake. Our TCAS sounded 'traffic'. Don't know how close we came to each other.
