Narrative:

After receiving clearance to cross 18R on taxiway a and told traffic will hold short of taxiway B we entered the runway and then the rwsl (runway status lights) red lights came on. Committed to crossing the runway I continued taxi to hold short of 18L. Traffic was on short final and pulling off runway 18R at the time. ATC said nothing as we confirmed our clearance to hold short 18L.

Title: Air carrier flight crew reported Runway Status Lights illuminated while crossing runway after receiving Controller's verbal crossing clearance at DFW airport.

Narrative: After receiving clearance to cross 18R on Taxiway A and told traffic will hold short of Taxiway B we entered the runway and then the RWSL (Runway Status Lights) RED lights came on. Committed to crossing the runway I continued taxi to hold short of 18L. Traffic was on short final and pulling off Runway 18R at the time. ATC said nothing as we confirmed our clearance to hold short 18L.
