Narrative:
Captain was flying the leg from ZZZ to ZZZ1. During preflight we had reviewed the flight plan loaded in the FMS and went checked all the fixes on the SID to ensure they were properly entered on the legs page. We were on an RNAV departure out of ZZZ on runway xxc. On the climb out at 400ft captain called for navigation mode and it was selected; then were given heading 270. Shortly after we were given direct to the first fix on the departure (zzzzz). In the turn we noticed the aircraft course was shown on the mfd to be turning significantly past where we knew zzzzz to be. At the same time ATC radioed in to ask if we were direct to zzzzz. We stated that we were; however we think we are having problems with the FMS and requested a heading. We received a heading and continued our climb out while we attempted to diagnose the problem. We determined that we had the GPS issue which has been a common occurrence over the past few weeks. Captain attempted to reset our position so we could use the GPS. While coordinating with ATC we stated that we were non-RNAV and requested vectors. We were given vectors towards the ZZZ2 VOR. We continued to fly the aircraft safely and I pulled up fom 18-xxa which refers to the GPS inoperative occurrence to review the solution referenced in the flight ops alert. As the flight was so short by the time I had found the solution to disable GPS we had already begun receiving the ZZZ2 VOR and decided to proceed flying in green needles. ATC was aware of our issue throughout the flight. We also sent an ACARS message to the assigned dispatcher to notify him as well. We received vectors to final to intercept the ILS xxl in ZZZ and landed safely noticed the aircraft course was not proceeding in the anticipated direction. Realized the aircraft thought its current position was not correct. The GPS update error that has been occurring the past few weeks in the crj aircraft. Advised ATC we were unable RNAV and received vectors until we were able to tune the ZZZ2 VOR and proceeded flying in green needles.
