Narrative:

Aircraft failed to pressurize after takeoff. Decided to return to clt. No irregularities, great aircraft handling by ATC. No emergency was declared. Captain decided to return to land. Maintenance was to investigate malfunction. First officer flew aircraft whole time (takeoff to landing). Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: maintenance found a malfunctioning amplifier that controllers the pressurization outflow valve. Valve was inoperative. Good decision to return and land for maintenance inspection.

Title: FLT CREW OF MLG UNABLE TO PRESSURIZE ACFT IN CLIMB. RETURNED TO CLT FOR LNDG AND MAINTENANCE.

Narrative: ACFT FAILED TO PRESSURIZE AFTER TKOF. DECIDED TO RETURN TO CLT. NO IRREGULARITIES, GREAT ACFT HANDLING BY ATC. NO EMER WAS DECLARED. CAPT DECIDED TO RETURN TO LAND. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: MAINT FOUND A MALFUNCTIONING AMPLIFIER THAT CTLRS THE PRESSURIZATION OUTFLOW VALVE. VALVE WAS INOP. GOOD DECISION TO RETURN AND LAND FOR MAINT INSPECTION.
