Narrative:

Was cleared for takeoff from tower. After setting to (takeoff) power it was evident that [other aircraft] was crossing the runway into our takeoff path. Abort abort was called by me simultaneously tower instructed to cancel takeoff clearance after we decelerated from 60 knots we smoothly exited at taxiway B. [Other aircraft] was crossing at taxiway C. A call was promptly made to the flight attendants to make sure everyone was safe and not alarmed. After confirmation that it was not our error we regrouped and completed the flight. Follow up with tower as to why the extremely dangerous mistake was made.
