Narrative:
During taxi-out; ip (instructor pilot) saw a turtle on taxiway bravo between lima and B3; continuing north to the grass and possibly to runway 9L/27R. After ensuring no collision hazard existed with his aircraft; ip reported turtle to ground; who sent a vehicle. While holding short of the runway; ip observed the vehicle retrieve the turtle.FOD comes in many shapes and sizes; and pilots must always be on the alert.
