Narrative:
I was leading a flight of two aircraft on an aerobatic practice mission. We were developing a new maneuver for an air show act in which one airplane rolls around the other airplane. We had been practicing for 30 mins in a designated aerobatic practice area just northwest of turf soaring airport. The start of the maneuver required the #2 ship to begin his pass on my approximately 1000' behind and 500' above me. During the time it took to position the aircraft our heading (approximately 090 degree) took us outside the aerobatic area to the east. Just before the #2 ship started his roll I cleared the area for traffic. When the #2 ship started his roll I watched him through the first 230 degree of his roll before he disappeared under me. Just as he xed the 90 degree point in his roll, I noticed an airline small transport in my 11 O'clock position. I did not call traffic since #2 was clearing the small transport. Closest point between #2 and the small transport was approximately 1400' vertical and 1000' horizontally.
