Narrative:
During climb out; passing approximately 17;000 feet we received a level 1 alert 'emergency power on' alert. We selected the electrical synoptic and noticed that battery voltage at 27 volts. We consulted the QRH [quick reference handbook]; deployed the air driven generator [air driven generator]; and diverted back to ZZZ.
