Narrative:
I just talked to chief pilot and sent him two photos showing my safety concern. Off spot X in phx; next to the taxiway; there is a construction area with steel pilings next to the taxiway extending into the air about 15 feet. The piles are just outside the edge line for the taxiway and could easily be struck by a 737 wing if a captain taxis north of the centerline of the taxiway. I saw no lights or markings to help pilots see this hazard.
