Narrative:
As the crew entered the aircraft the foul smell started at the beginning of the aircraft. [The smell was] so strong that we had to get off the aircraft and alert the captain and csr. The smell didn't smell safe; nor sanitary until aired out. Cleaners sprayed air freshener and disinfectant. The airflow from the aircraft helped.

Title: Air carrier Flight Attendant reported a 'foul smell' at preflight. Cabin cleaners were required to clean and ventilate cabin prior to boarding.
