Narrative:
Had to stop abruptly while taxiing in to [gate]. Caught a white van out the corner of my left eye coming from the left and not slowing down. I think the marshaller caught it about the same time. He kept cruising and appeared to pass under the nose [of our aircraft]. First officer said it appeared as though the driver was texting. I have no doubt that he or she probably was; and I would love to see the video if I could.
