Narrative:

On the first attempt of landing; a go-around was initiated because the windsock indicated a tailwind. The wind was variable at 10 gusting 17 kts. The second attempt the aircraft landed on the centerline of the runway when a gust of wind began to move the aircraft to the left of the centerline. Right ruder and aileron correction was used to try and maintain the centerline. This proved ineffective as the aircraft continued to veer to the left and exited the runway into the grass at a speed of 30 kts. There was no damage to the aircraft of the airport property. The pilot was unharmed.
