Narrative:
Aircraft had an issue with a piece of required emergency equipment - [the] first aid kit. The crew was told to void the write up by the [company] tower to avoid maintenance from going to the aircraft. The item was voided by the crew as instructed by the tower. I had talked to the crew after the fact and they thought they were talking to aircraft maintenance but to their surprise they were not. This also happened on another aircraft; where we found the [company] local tower was giving maintenance advice and telling the crew either not to report it or delete it as if it doesn't exist.
