Narrative:

On 2/sat/91, at about pm:30 hours I flew too low over lake koshkonong in the state of wi. The lake was frozen and I was looking for a place to land on it. I thought you can land on frozen lakes. I did not land because of snow drifts. While talking to a fellow pilot the next day he told me that I might have violated a far. He said only sea planes can land on frozen or unfrozen lakes. To insure that I don't make any more such violations I will review FARS for private pilots.
