Narrative:
While cruising at 6000' MSL and at 2400 RPM, and with some carburetor heat applied, I experienced a significant power loss. I immediately applied full carburetor heat and enriched the mixture. I was not able to maintain altitude. The engine was running intermittently. After a few mins power was restored. I landed at the nearest airport, which was petersburg, wv. Upon landing a mechanic cleaned and regapped the spark plugs, drained all the fuel and refilled the tanks.
