Narrative:
Had dual omega failures and had to dead reckon navigation from mdw (feler intersection) between hnl and ont. Had difficulty making position report and informing hnl radio of navigation problems. The omegas were very old. With today's technology and satellite navigation systems, we should have access to state of the art systems. But we are still using very old equipment and it's not addressed by the FAA.
