Narrative:
Arriving back to ZZZ I was given clearance to land on xxr as number 2 visually following an archer. Aircraft Y was given the instruction 'cessna follow rv on mile and a half; base-to-final; runway xxr clear to land.' aircraft Y responds 'xxr cleared to land; traffic in sight.' just before the numbers on my final I saw a dark shadow appear on the ground; looked up out of my canopy and saw the cessna flying directly over me (100 feet or less).cessna was a student with an instructor. They didn't acknowledge any of the tower instructions and proceeded to land causing me to have to take evasive action and fly away from the xxr runway.
