Narrative:

At mia, we were cleared into position and hold on runway 27L. I taxied across the end of runway 27L (thinking it was runway 30) and continued on the taxiway on the other side. Just as we started to make the right turn on the taxiway leading to runway 30, we realized that we had overshot runway 27 and we called mia tower with our position. Tower gave us clearance to continue taxiing to runway 30 for takeoff. The problem probably occurred because I idented the runway visly, early in the taxi but didn't refer to the airport diagram in the last several hundred ft when we were busy with the checklist. As I was taxiing southeast on the outer taxiway parallel to runway 30, I could see runway 27 beyond. I think I subconsciously figured that we would have to cross the approach end of runway 30 to get to runway 27. Then as the outer taxiway made a slight left turn to merge with the inner taxiway, we got busy with the checklist, and became parallel to runway 27, which I thought (erroneously) was runway 30. When cleared into position and hold, on runway 27, I then taxied across runway 27, still thinking it was runway 30. My corrective action is to verbally confirm with the copilot that each runway I enter or cross is the one for which we are cleared.

Title: FLT CREW OF MLG CLEARED RWY 27L AT MIA CROSSED 27 ONTO RWY 30.

Narrative: AT MIA, WE WERE CLRED INTO POS AND HOLD ON RWY 27L. I TAXIED ACROSS THE END OF RWY 27L (THINKING IT WAS RWY 30) AND CONTINUED ON THE TXWY ON THE OTHER SIDE. JUST AS WE STARTED TO MAKE THE R TURN ON THE TXWY LEADING TO RWY 30, WE REALIZED THAT WE HAD OVERSHOT RWY 27 AND WE CALLED MIA TWR WITH OUR POS. TWR GAVE US CLRNC TO CONTINUE TAXIING TO RWY 30 FOR TKOF. THE PROB PROBABLY OCCURRED BECAUSE I IDENTED THE RWY VISLY, EARLY IN THE TAXI BUT DIDN'T REFER TO THE ARPT DIAGRAM IN THE LAST SEVERAL HUNDRED FT WHEN WE WERE BUSY WITH THE CHKLIST. THEN AS THE OUTER TXWY MADE A SLIGHT L TURN TO MERGE WITH THE INNER TXWY, WE GOT BUSY WITH THE CHKLIST, AND BECAME PARALLEL TO RWY 27, WHICH I THOUGHT (ERRONEOUSLY) WAS RWY 30. WHEN CLRED INTO POS AND HOLD, ON RWY 27, I THEN TAXIED ACROSS RWY 27, STILL THINKING IT WAS RWY 30. MY CORRECTIVE ACTION IS TO VERBALLY CONFIRM WITH THE COPLT THAT EACH RWY I ENTER OR CROSS IS THE ONE FOR WHICH WE ARE CLRED.
