Narrative:
On taxi-out via east route to runway 25R the airport diagram shows taxiway right as straight. Due to construction; the taxiway jogs abruptly to the right about half way south. There are several large skid marks showing crews are being surprised by this. I examined the approach at night and found that an unfortunate combination of lighting tends to obscure the jog. Only one blue light appears in the center of the taxiway. Anybody who misses that and is unaware of the jog will be surprised. It would be helpful to have barricades with red lights/flashers across the jog; so crew could see the way was obviously blocked and the taxiway does not continue straight.
